I waited for 6 months in anticipation of the opening of this new Cuban on Lexington Avenue in Mt. Kisco. I had the chance to go last night. The desire exceeded the act. Service was overpowering when I first sat down, inundated by all manor of staff. Within seconds they disappeared and were not to be seen again all evening. Long pause. Forgotten plates, incorrect check, dramatic wine bottle opening, no response to requests even though the manager/owner sat in the dining room chatting. Most of the surroung tables seemed to have some sort of bill/food issue. The front room needs a firm management hand. Most employees walked about aimlessly. The menu short (6-8) plates and while adequete in taste the portions were of doll house size (two tablespoons of rice, one of beans and one eigth of a banana). Do you ever wonder why some folks get in the restaurant business? Textbook case.
