The Cobb's Mill Inn, Connecticut's longest continuous food establishment, has closed. It's sad to see such a historic building (formerly a grist and lumber mill) set on the shores of a magnificent waterfall, call it a day.
Granted, it had been getting a bit old in the tooth, and food and service were spotty over the years, but no one could deny its unique beauty and charm.
Perhaps a new owner can breathe life into it. I hope it can stay a restaurant and isn't converted into something else.
