Help for clueless visitor

I'll be in town for a wedding in June and need some suggestions for Friday lunch and dinner and Saturday brunch (and possibly Saturday late night muchies in case the reception ends early). I'm staying at the Crowne Plaza Allerton at N. Michigan and Huron -- is there anything good but not too expensive near there? I'd especially like to stay close to the hotel for the Saturday brunch because we'll probably be tired and not in the mood to make a huge effort either in schlepping or dressing.

Also, are there any particularly good dogs or sausages around Wrigley? We're going to a Friday afternoon game and I have to figure out whether to eat before heading to the park or when I get there.

I have my eye on Al's #1 Italian on Ontario, which seems like it's walking distance from the hotel, but I don't have any other ideas or limitations, other than cheaper is better and something other than Indian, Thai, or Vietnamese, which I can get at home, would be great. Thanks for your help.
