Clementine etc.

We ended up at Clementine last night and it was wonderful. I loved the garlicy, parsley and buttered snails with just the right amount of chewiness. There was also a salmon tartare that was fresh and lovely. Another dish of mussels was good but I'm not a big fan of tarragon. For entrées we had a quail, scallops with polenta and duck with mushroom ragu and picholine olives, the last two being my favorites. The desserts were simply devine, a chocolate lava type cake, a tarte tatin, and a pain perdu French toast that sent my dd into spasms. The service was absolutely spot on, warm and welcoming as well.

I also got a chance to get the infamous Saigon sandwich and the best custard tart of my
life (at Golden Gate Bakery) thanks to all on these boards for the past posts.
