I found a very old thread about diving for abalone and sea urchin and references to cracking open and eating the sea urchins at the dive spot...
How do you do this? Could someone post how to do this for me? Or a URL with instructions would be great; my google searches didn't find anything.
Also, can you eat any of the varieties? The red and purple seem to be preferred; I confess I don't know how many different types are typically available (California-Mexico Pacific coast region).
