So kitchen fans, here's the scoop (or two, depending upon your model): I've been running stuff through the ol' washer of dishes now for more years than I'd care to think about. And it has continued to perform faithfully, nay, heroically. And so it occurs to me to return the favor. But doing so leaves me troubled: just how does one return the favor? One runs vinegar through a coffee-maker. But vinegar through the dishwasher seems vaguely inappropriate. And yet it seems foolish to go spend $$$ on some high-end product when some home remedy should do the trick.
Thus my appeal to all you hounds, houndettes, and houndistas: what's the best way to clean the dishwasher?
