Clark's BBQ Report (short)

johnb | May 31, 2005 10:26 AM

Based on suggestions from this board, we stopped at Clark's Barbecue in Kernersville, just off I-40, on Sunday for some Q. I'm no expert, but the chopped Q (we selected the tray--no bread) was very good. Nice and smokey, flavorful, tho not juicy. Cole slaw was also good. Brunswick stew was fairly plain--can't recommend. But oddly enough the real hit was the hush puppies. By far the best I ever had. Fried in a ring shape, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and redolant of oniony flavor. The standard by which I'll judge hush puppies in the future.
