FOUND Clam Strips in Toronto

estufarian | Dec 2, 201407:12 AM     44

Several of us bemoaned the disappearance of Clam Strips – back in 2007/8.

Plus clam strips have also been mentioned in the
Grocery items that you can't find in Toronto (but you can in the states) thread:

I’VE FOUND THEM!

The newly opened Easy Catch Fish ‘n Chips place on Yonge just South of St. Clair, has them on their menu (both eat-in and take-out).
They were fantastic! Or maybe I just missed them so much that they seemed like ambrosia to me. Very slightly chewy (al dente?).
I don’t normally review places after one visit – but this is the exception. I need all of us secret clam-strip lovers to storm the place to ensure they stay on the menu. Clam–strip lovers unite!

The Halibut was excellent too – batter was very light although I prefer mine slightly crispier, but quality was high and the fish was hot and moist.
