Recently, we ate at the Old Clam House (since 1860!) on Bayshore. The bar is all that's open for lunch, and although it's kind of noisy (happy-noisy) I liked the old pressed tin ceiling and vintage SF memorabililia. The clam chowder was excellent but the fish sandwich (not a bargain - I think it was like $12) was so undistinguished that I can't even remember what kind of fish it was. Questions: they claim their cioppino is the best in town. How good is it, really? What do you think are the best things on their menu?
