The Civic Center Indian food guy

Pointybird | Aug 25, 200404:31 PM     1

I MUST post to share my love for this booth at the Wednesday Civic Center Farmers Market. I feel like I've done it before but I can't remember if I have or not -- someday I will figure out how to search for past posts.

It's a small booth near the Market Street end of the plaza, and behind it is a friendly guy and sometimes his mom, hawking the Indian food they make from home in the South Bay. I swear the chana masala is the best in town, and the cilantro relish is so piquant and perfect, I buy it and cover dishes with it at home. It's $5 per dish, and he has all kinds of bread too. This morning i got pumpkin paratha, amazing. If you stand there he will start handing you so many free samples you are embarassed to eat so much, but it is all amazing. Go RIGHT NOW! He's still there! Get your lunch there!
