Old City romantic dinner on Saturday night?

oliviasaru | Feb 17, 2009 06:18 AM

My husband and I are sending our daughter to my sister's for the weekend and celebrating our 11th anniversary at home. Woohoo!

On Saturday, we were thinking of going into town and seeing a couple of movies then heading to a nice dinner. We'll probably be at one of the Ritz theaters, which is why I said Old City, but the clubby vibe is definitely not what we're looking for so we can really go anywhere. I've searched the threads for romantic anniversary dinner and read about lots of wonderful-sounding places, but like everyone I think I'm a special snowflake so I'd like recommendations geared to my "unique" circumstances. ;-)

Le Bec-Fin and its ilk are not on the table due to budget constraints, and a nice BYOB would be ideal but it's not a deal-breaker. I ruled out some of the recommendations I read about in other threads due to noise - of course a place should be busy on a Saturday night, but we would like to be able to have a conversation without screaming over the din.

My husband does not like seafood; otherwise we're up for anything.

Thanks everyone!
