I just have to weigh in on this place in Nashville that has been spoken so highly on these boards. I am touring with a play, and I Chowhounded for the best restaurant in the downtown Nashville area when I learned we were coming. Where I may have erred was in not asking specifically about Sunday Night Dining. We arrived at 7:45 on a Sunday, with a reservation, and were told at the door that the restaurant was out of three items on their menu. I didn't think anything of it, until I saw that the Sunday night menu was about 1/3 the size of the menu online, and 3 items missing was a lot! The food was completely unremarkable. My catfish was hot and crisp, but only chow-chow made it interesting. Served with bland beans. When I asked the waiter for butter to put on the cornbread, he looked strangely at me and said, no, he could bring me olive oil or margerine. Hmm. I guess Sunday night is a crapshoot, but I really didn't have that great an experience.
