Circa 79

HungryinToronto | Apr 6, 2008 12:22 PM

Four of us celebrated a U. of Guelph student's birthday yesterday evening with a lovely meal at a place called Circa 79. The restaurant has apparently been open for about six months. Though it is in a nondescript strip mall at 219 Silvercreek Parkway North the restaurant itself is very nicely decorated.

The food is Italian and the menu had a smallish but quite adequate selection of appetizers, pasta dishes and other main courses. The desserts were innovative with the favourite of the evening being donuts and coffee (but donuts that bore little resemblance to what you would find in a donut/coffee chain). I found the presentation, food, and service were all excellent. A fine choice for a celebration such as a birthday.
