Cinderella Bakery, SF

After lunch at Sushi Bistro on Saturday, Cynthia and I took a little walk around this diverse chow neighborhood, one that I'd not explored on foot before. We popped into Cinderella - a first time for me. I picked up a baked meat piroshki, a slice of layered prune cake, and a crescent-shaped sandwich cookie filled with raspberry jam. Tried these later for dinner - the piroshki was excellent, heated up nicely in the toaster oven with very flaky pastry, lots of mildly spiced ground beef filling with some egg. The prune cake was fine, although I don't think I'd get it again. Didn't like the cookie - the filling was tough and rubbery.
