What a treasure in upstate NY!! The chef was trained @ C.I.A. and the food was excellent.
It's a nice simple table and booth restaurant that does lots of take out.
I ordered "Fire in the Hole" corn bread topped with pulled pork and "Cowboy Candy" which was sort of a sweet jalapeno relish on top.
My friends ordered ribs and a Tennessee style pulled pork sammich.
All were excellent without being overly smothered in sauce. They had a few interesting BBQ sauces. One had the taste of root beer and another with a mustard base.
A side order of sweet potato fries with a touch of cinnamon was outstanding. Even the cole slaw was memorable.
Don't pass thru Florida NY without stopping @ Chumley's BBQ!!
