Bueno Hounds!

I feel that I have been remiss in my chowhound duties as of of late. I am taking far more than I have given up. No more. Last Sunday we took a party of 7 to Christope, a little bistro on Bridgeway in Sausalito. It was Tanya's fathers birthday, and he had a jones for french food.

The fixe menu in this little place is a major value. An starter, house salad, entree, and dessert for less than 25 bones.

The starters were; bison cru (my pick),duck confit, leek tart, and a salmon dish that I remember few details about. All perfect tasty morsels to kick off the meal. I highly recomend the leek tart.

Salad is a plate full of mustard dressed spring mix. Nothing special.

The entrees are just the type of fare to warm up our grey weather; cassoulet, hanger steak, lapin au mutard, sweetbreads, and others. The lapin au mutard was the favorite at our table, but the cassoulet was great too.

For dessert our table split pretty evenly between the chocolate mousse, and creme brulee'. I had the mousse, but I'll be back soon for the creme!

The service is relaxed. I like that when I'm digging into something as homey as cassoulet. This place is worth a trip out of the way.

CHOW!!!
