Chowhounds Get Together at Full Kee

Jim Zurer | Sep 4, 200008:14 PM     3

Gary Cheong and his friend Karen--visiting Chowhounds from NYC-- joined my wife Diana and me for lunch at Full Kee on Sunday. We lucked out and they had soft-shells that day....they were fabulous. We also enjoyed the Hong Kong style wonton soup, stir fried leek flowers, shredded pork and bean curd in black bean sauce, and Amoy style rice noodles (without the curry powder). Unfortunately the bitterness problem in the clam with black bean sauce dish seems to be continuing, so we ended up sending that dish back.

We enjoyed the expedition and meeting Gary and Karen.

I reiterate my offer to meet any Chowhound for a meal at Full Kee....it is a tough job, but someone has to do it.
