The last week has brought a flurry of good chow info from new posters on this board. Thank you and welcome to the San Francisco Bay Area chowhound community!

Please give our message board a good surf. You'll find that the Bay Area folks have a budding tradition of gathering off-line to share a meal and fellowship with our chowhound pals at favorite new places. I think we've gotten up to either 13 or 14 dinners together so far this year. In the works currently is a picnic in Golden Gate Park on Saturday, October 6, with commemorative t-shirts, a food contest and a cheese tasting. The deadline to reserve by mail is Friday, September 7. You can find more information at the link below.

We decided on a picnic so we could meet as many chowhounds as possible so we hope to see you there!
