My colleagues and I will be at a convention at Hynes, staying at Sheraton Back Bay. We are looking for places for dinner that are interesting; not chains, not tourist-driven, not more famous than good. A young chef with ambition? A mixologist with interesting ideas? Fun, not pretentious and with a local food emphasis. Cutting edge is great, but so is an old classic, well done. A tasting menu or great appetizers that can form the basis of a tasting menu would be appreciated. We will probably have neither the time nor the organizational skills to muster cabs or public transportation, so would prefer restaurants we can walk to. Any thoughts? Our traveling pack of colleagues have enjoyed Poole's Diner in Raleigh, NC, Le Pigeon in Portland, OR, Riojas in Denver, Animal in LA, and Green Goddess in NOLA. Thanks, hounds!
