All right, here's a Houston topic I'd like to raise; not all of the good food is inside the Loop. For example,in my area of Fort Bend County we are blessed with a number of very good Italian restaurants: Perry's, Nick's, and Italian Maid Cafe. We also have a wonderful neighborhood bistro, Cafe Natalie, with delicious shrimp bisque and beef dishes, and the best creme brulee in metro Houston. (There, that's throwing down the gauntlet.) Not to mention my favorite Tex-Mex place, Camino Real in Rosenberg. (Digression: Robb Walsh is SO WRONG about Larry's!! Yuck! A minority opinion.) I have had meals at each of these places that were the equal of anything I've had inside the Loop, for less money. The service may be less polished, but is still cheerful and competent. The atmosphere at some (particularly Perry's)is equal, also.
Woodlands, Kingwood, Katy, Clear Lake--what are your favorite finds? Let's stand up to these snobby inner-loopers! ;-)
