A pregnant friend came into town this weekend. So it was a good excuse to spend the weekend eating!
Cafe de la Presse was the first stop Saturday morning. THANK YOU to chowhounds elise h and others for the croque monsieur suggestion there. The salad along with the sandwich has a terrific mustardy dressing. My friend had a standard omelette which she was happy with.
Bella for dinner in the Richmond, as I had read a rave review from Limster. This is definitely going to be a new addition to my "regulars" list - I went with Limster's suggestion and stuck to the specials - had an entree of porcini mushroom and italian sausage risotto. The porcini flavor was to die for - strong in every bite. My friend had a terrific crabmeat ravioli with asparagus cream sauce. The general feeling of the restaurant is very "neighborhoody" and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Breakfast this morning at Louis' out near the Cliff House. Standard breakfast fare, which deserves a mention because it is a great place to take tourists. Sits directly on the cliffs and is a fun little place - food is not incredibly outstanding, but standard for breakfast.
Thanks to all chowhounds for their continued suggestions!
