The longer I stay with the board, the more information gets packed into my brain, and when the time comes to actually go to a restaurant or a food shop I am struck dumb. I try to break out of my usual places and try all the great things I read about here, but the particulars of these great things seep out of my brain at the key moments.
I know I can do a search of the site but this can be a bit cumbersome, especially if my memories of the post are already vague, or if I have to find the information quickly and easily. I subscribe to Chow Alert and store those in a separate mailbox in my email, but they are so chock full of information that I find it hard to search for the one nugget of information I want. I also book mark posts that I found useful or have the address of a place that interested me.
I am curious to hear how all of you out there manage this wealth of information and make it work for you. Maybe I can learn a trick or two to help me in my confusion.
