I would like to join up if someone, prob la cheesemonger and his wine comrade, could set up one of those omakase tasting menus plus all the necessary bottles of wines and such, basically the whole nine yards with the caviar, toro, and foie gras, and the Japanese/French dishes that the usu. disgruntled chef can whip up for us, serious eaters. i'd imagine it would be considerably cheaper if we can get one of the shibucho regulars to set it up. anyways, as for me, i don't think i have the right connections for that place. i'd also be up for meeting aka eating/drinking session at Mako Sushi in downtown, Seikitei (in Monterey Park, which i'll soon post my dinner there) or Echigo or Kazu or even Mori. But too bad we'll be out of luck on those desserts maybe russkar can bring one of those cheesecakes from the Petaluma place or cheesemonger can bring one of his new finds or whatever. let's just set it into action.
