I want to thank the Seattle Chowhounds for their Seattle restaurant recommendations. Based on them, I went to Matt's at the Market, which I loved (delicious fish and dessert), and Salumi, which I liked (great place, but I'm not as big a fan of deli meats as some). I also went to Wild Ginger, which I thought rather awful (slow service, wrong dish brought, no silverware, overcrowded, bad-tasting pork dish, and somewhat overpriced for the kind of food offered). I did not use your recs for International District restaurants as I was too tired and so had pho right in the Pioneer Square area; I thought it was fine, and very reasonable. While in Seattle, I also had coffee at Seattle's Finest, also fine.
