ChowFind! Lebanese at it's finest

Sadistick | Feb 25, 201707:13 AM

A ChowFind no doubt; Teta's Mediterranean Kitchen & Bakery - located at 4610 Dufferin Street #19B; serves up some of the best (if not THE best) Lebanese fare I have had in this country.

The owner, a lovely man who clearly takes the time to greet and make his customers (new and old) feel welcome seats the two of us and brings out some flat bread samples (their Zartar and melted Lebanese cheese). We tried the following: Hummus w/ Ful (fava beans) - the hummus easily the best I have had from any restaurant in Toronto. It comes with a fresh made pita, slightly crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, puffed up and piping hot. It is clear high quality olive oil is used. This order comes with a platter of green olives, pickled turnips, pickled hot peppers, pieces of fresh green onion, mint and tomatoes. We also tried their lentil soup (excellent) and their chicken schwarma (equally good - and the Israeli salad it comes with, talk about an addictive dressing!)

Looking forward to exploring more of the menu.

It's places like this that really make me happy.

Enjoy.
