Tucked away in a non-descriptive strip mall plaza at John and Leslie, Jordan's Schwarma brings a true taste of the Middle East to Thornhill!

They opened 4 weeks ago and having driven by there a number of times on my way to a client I stopped by today to pick up some lunch.

Talk about a good idea!

I was greeted by 3 lovely ladies who helped guide my decision, ending up with a Chicken Schwarma plate with rice and salad.

Absolutely authentic and excellent! While they prepared my order one of the ladies came out from the back with a falafel ball to try - It was fantastic! Light, airy, and super crispy on the outside. A sign of good things to come.

The rice was perfectly cooked, appears to even have some saffron in it (at $11 a plate, a steal!). Schwarma has the crispiness you want as well as a very nice umami flavour.

You can tell there is a lot of love behind the cooking here. Excellent quality, fresh, healthy and quick all at a reasonable price.

This family run business deserves to succeed. Far superior to the 'Laffa King/Queen/Jester' places in the 905.

Check them out - you will not be disappointed.
