** Moderators: I hope you will permit me to bend the rules with this post and link to invite the SF Board hounds to a Chow event a few miles south of the official San Francisco Board.
Hello Bay Area hounds. I know there is a lot of interest on this board in regional mexican cooking and that many of you would be interested in being at the chowdown dinner at Fiesta Tepa-Sahuayo in Watsonville that is being hosted by a few of the hounds on the central coast if it were closer. Hey, I know that alot of the SF and east bay posters think San Jose might as well be on the Southern Cal board it is so far away and there are a few who have not crossed the bay bridge since '84 :) so I figured we would just leave our invite on the CA section. Suddenly we got a few interested people from the Bay Area and now we even have someone driving down from Richmond so we thought we should extend the invitation to everyone on this board. So if you have an interest in regional Mexican food, have exhausted International Blvd, and have a free night on Wed March 23 check out the link below. Perhaps a carpool could be arranged?
If that is not enough of a teaser can I mention 3 different pipians, fried cheese stewed with huitlacoche and guajillos, shrimp in rose petal sauce??
