Hi there,

Per some reading and some long overdue curiosity, I lugged myself and my wife to this place on our way home.

We had a light meal.

We started off with a hibiscus tea (me) and a ginger orange cooler. My wife loved this drink and it was delicious after I took a sip.

I had the duck pizza. It was a nice pizza, although I probably should stop thinking of all duck as being peking duck, as I was waiting for that sweet caramelized flavour of the malt syrup and it never hit. This was my fault, not the pizza's. It got a bit soggy and although I thought the pizza cutter was cute, I really would have preferred them cutting it in the kitchen. I give it a "B".

My wife had the thai mussels. My gosh these were awesome, especially having the bread to dunk in the Tom Ka Ghai like broth!!! We both gave this an "A". Another "A" was her side, the scallion rice. This was deliciously spicy, both of us being Indian, we rarely find food zesty enough for our taste, but this was wonderful.

She was full, but I ended my meal with a banana milkshake. Wonderful taste, but at $3.50, I expected a big shake. Instead, I got a water glass full of delicousness. I thought it was pretty silly actually.

Overall, I am really looking forward to my little brother's b-day there. I plan on having the pork chops with polenta. They looked awesome but I was too full from my huge lunch at La Perla earlier in the day (hint... post coming later)

J
