Looking for chow help in Granby Ct (Long)

jms | Aug 21, 2005 12:57 PM

We have recently moved to Granby Ct from West Hartford. We are looking for advice on local spots. We have tried and liked J & G in East Granby. Guadalahara (?) Grill was also pretty good.

We liked the beer at Cambridge house, but our two attempts on finding decent food there were dismal. Who would have ever thought you wouldn't be able to love a place with $3.00 micro brew pints?

Goombas, so far we've had grinders and pizza, both just okay

Gios, a terrible grinder (Burned and greasy)and a decent pasta dish.

Are we missing anything great in any of these places? Has anyone tried Old Oak Tavern, Cracker Barrel, Amys(I think that is the name, it is next to the Cracker Barrel) or any other worthwhile spots? Is there ANY decent Chinese locally? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
