Anyone have a lead on uncooked chow fun to cook at home? There used to be a vendor on Grand St., west of Bowery, who sold a few kinds of chow fun; scallion, plain and dried shrimp, if my memory serves me. It was like $1 a pound; she'd cut off a hunk and put it in a plastic bag, and away you went. I walked over this morning and not to be found. I popped into a few stores on Grand, and nada. So - Manhattan would be good, but I'll go further if necessary. No - I didn't pop into any of the larger grocery stores, whIch I am still avoiding, and which tend to have pre-packaged stuff.
