I hadn't heard much about ChouChou before we went on Saturday, and much of what I had heard was mixed. And so we were very pleasantly suprised, tucked away at a table on the second floor, by an grad dinner last night. The second floor is key, we were in our own little world (with occational visits by a warm and charming french waiter). Downstairs seemed a little more hectic. Our camembert appetizer was a little on the sweet side, but the duck confit with green lentils was truly fantastic. Sensing our indecision over which of the beautiful tarts to order the waiter brought up four small slices to sample. The pastry with its brown sugar crust is truly exceptional and the triple chocoate out of this world. Good times were had by all and we have only just recently recovered. Three cheers for ChouChou!
