We've recently started to order out from Chopstick, which is a newly opened Indian-style Chinese place, mainly takeout, but with a few tables for eating in. (In that respect, much like the famed Tangra Masala in Elmhurst, Queens.) It's located on the north side of Oak Tree Road between Wood and Grove, in the same plaza with Blockbuster -- that's about 3-5 minutes east from the main Indian drag on Oak Tree Road in Iselin.
The cuisine is both straightforward and intensely flavorful. Doesn't have the atmosphere of Ming's, the Moghul partnership's sitdown Indian-style Chinese about 3 minutes west on Oak Tree Road, but the prices are much more manageable, too. (You can easily feed two couples on $40 worth of food, not something you could do at Ming's!).
Compared to Tangra Masala, the prices are slightly lower, the entrees a little bit better, but the appetizer list not nearly as comprehensive. Also unlike Tangra Masala, Chopstick offers no beef dishes, and is not all Halal, but Halal "by request."
