An Afghan Restaurant on the Danforth a little east of the main strip.
The interior was well done as long as you get a booth these are further away from the neon lighting in the window.
I enjoyed the ambiance and the afghan music ... had a very relaxing charm to it. Mostly filled with Afghanis and other s. asians - so the food has to be authentic.
The food was also good - the chicken kebab and mutton kebabs were excellent, so was the pita and the dipping sauce. the rice pulao was out of this world!
The Afghan icecream dessert was different - though I'd rather have a nice Baklava from the Acropolis a couple of doors up.
If you like spicy food, and you like kebabs then I'd recommend you try it.
The NOW review was a complete piece of hogwash - how can a vegeterian go review a Kebab House ??? Its like sending a carnivore to the Annapurna and then expecting an unbiased review.
Definitely worth a try - much better than the bland souvlaki found on the strip.
Dinner for 3 (3 cokes, pulao, chicken kebab, mutton kebab, one large dessert) came to $50 incl. tip.
Worth every penny in my book.
