Help in Choosing Some Montreal Restaurants

MontrealVisitor | Nov 19, 2003 08:40 PM

Aloha. My family and I are planning a visit to Montreal next year and are looking for some good places to eat. We prefer a comfortable atmosphere with good service. Our budget is around $30 - 40C per person including a glass of wine or beer with dinner, a bit more if necessary. Some preliminary research has turned up a few possibilities, how are these restaurants given our price range? Any other suggestions?

French: Au Pied de Cochon, L'Express Bistro, Au Petit Extra or Le P'tit Plateau.

Italian: Tre Marie, Il Mulino or Misto.

Japanese: Soto, Katsura or Tokiwa.

Steak: Le Biftheque or Le Keg (not looking for a "steakhouse experience" just a good meal)

Our breakfast and lunches will probably be on the go wherever we happen to be, but hopefully our dinners can be nicely planned. Thank you for your help.
