Doing some serious spring cleaning and found a can of Congos del Convento in the back of one of my top shelves. I bought this on my first trip to Mexico, and obviously I must have liked them, but I don't remember what they taste like (no, I'm not eating a can that is about a decade old).
Anyway they seem to be a kind of sweet custard. I wonder why they aren't served in US Mexican restuarants.
