This is an all-Peruvian counter service spot with football jerseys, posters of Machu Picchu, and a surprisingly good selection of Peruvian specialties. I went for the namesake chicken.
There are plenty of places that claim to serve Peruvian chicken, but this is the real deal. It's been so long since I've had a chicken breast this juicy, this piping hot, and with spicy and crackling skin. It was pure food joy. Also the plaintains were served extra hot and crispy.
I know that these kinds of places vary from visit to visit, but I am encouraged enough to go back soon, and I'll be thinking about the chicken until I do.
