After a wonderful eating holiday this past December in Paris, I experienced a Parisian restaurant renaissance of sorts, with chefs opening restaurants following their own unique path. Bistronomic homogeny appears to be a thing of the past, and chefs are following their own passion, avoiding the need to be trendy or expedient. It was fantastic. We had fabulous meals at La Condesa, Alan Geaam, Jouvence, Arnaud Nicolas, and Virtus.
We are heading back to Paris in March, just for a few nights, before we fly to Fes. This trip, we are showing Paris to a couple who have never been in the city before. Currently we have reservations at La Condesa, Pramil, L’Arcane, and have a lunch reservation for Astrance. Do you have any suggestions for a less trendy, more “Mom and Pop,” “husband and wife,” restaurant? Thanks so much for your wise input.
