Last summer this Kiwi roaster opened a third location in Land Park/Curtis Park. Near the AirBnB where I stayed in January, I checked it out before leaving town. A difference here is that the cafe offers a toast menu and hot food, not just pastries baked elsewhere.
The flat white was sumptuous as always. And the Almond butter toast with sea salt scored a win. I also picked up a freshly roasted high elevation single origin, high acid Guatemalan bag o’ beans for Miss Kara who'd I'd be staying with in LA.
One concerning thing: unlike its other locations and every other coffee house I've frequented in Sacramento, my order was not brought to my table. I was called to the counter to pick it up. Hope this is not a trend. Also, parking is scarce.
