For years I've been shopping regularly at a place called Lively Life, in the basement of the St Lawrence Market. A while back, the Greek lady Helen, who ran it, retired and sold it. Suddenly the new owners have taken out the bulk bins where I found Thompson raisins, crystallised ginger, and, above all, chocoate-coated ginger (delicious). The raisins are easy to find elsewhere. Crystallized ginger less so. And I haven't seen the chocolate-coated any where else. (Ginger in syrup is better than crystallized, but also harder to find).
Anybody have suggestions for Toronto places -- preferably downtown -- which might replace Lively Life for my shopping?
