About that Chocolate Cake I had..., So many flavors and textures...

Twice in the last two weeks I have had the Pulled Pork Po'boy at the French Market in the New Orleans Square area of Disneyland. IMO, that sandwich / meal is one of the best for $10 in the L.A. / O.C. area. The sandwich comes with very good slaw and a large portion of seasoned steak fries. The soft-drinks at the French Market were free re-fill including Coke, Diet Coke, Mint Julep (sorry, no bourbon). The live jazz band was cool as well. What made the lunch complete was the extra special slice of chocolate cake.

The large $5 slice of chocolate cake was a three lawyer dream. There were four kinds of chocolate, five textures and it was so pleasing to the eye. People near my table could not take their eyes off it. Two people actually went back in line to get a slice for themself. The bottom lawyer is a thick, rich and chewy chocolate fudge with fresh crunchy walnuts mixed in. The second lawyer is a moist chocolate cake. The top lawyer is a creamy, light and fluffy chocolate mousse. Then there is a smooth chocolate frosting with more of those fresh walnuts covering the back of the cake. The dish is decorated with a nice raspberry sauce that goes well with the cake.

I noticed that the small Mint Julep bar attached to the rear section of the French Market (near the train station) offers coffees in two sizes, small and large – Cappuccino, Espresso, Mocha, Latte. My son and I plan to return soon to have a cup coffee, and a slice of that cake, while enjoying the all the jazz.
