I was reading the NYT sandwich spread
and was intrigued by the description of the chivito: "The national sandwich of Uruguay. Thinly pounded and grilled steak layered on a Kaiser roll with bacon or pancetta, ham, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and fried egg." The egg sounds like a mistake to me, but I'm still curious.
