the chipper

tried the chipper, the new fish and chips spot in sunnyside. the place was almost empty, 2 other patrons for takeout (3-4pm, sat). cute space with counter/ledge around the large room, blue and white color scheme, devoid of any other decoration.friendly staff who seem to be new to this, and they had a limited menu. haddock and cod, plus batterburger and battersausage, which looked good. f n' c were cod, $8.50 for a not real big pc of cod. i thought the fish was fresh and tasty, the batter nice and crispy, with a bit too much of a grease sheen to it, maybe should have been drained a bit more. the chips were good, of the british style, nice flavor, a bit mushy, real hot. all in all i'd try it again, but it wasn't quite as good as " a salt and battery" downtown, and have not been to the chip shop in bklyn, so can't compare. any other opinions out there?
