At Szechuan Tasty House in Philly, I had a green vegetable that was not on the menu. The waitress, who was from Fujian, referred the veggie as either "Piri" or "Pirin"--I can't tell which. The veggie is green, leafy, and tubular (i.e. holes in the stems), and I believe I've had something similar in a Vietnamese restaurant in NY. Can anyone tell me the correct pronunciation and any alternate names for this vegetable? Thanks!
