I found a sweet snack from Zhao Mah Bakery on Pender Street in Vancouver Chinatown. I'm trying to find the proper name and recipe. The place labeled it as "rice cake." It looks more like a steamed smooth sturdy white pudding with a bit of stickiness. It was in a foil tart shell. Does anyone know the proper Chinese and Anglo name or have the recipe? This brings back good memory of my mom who use to make it for me in her special non-stick ceramic shells which I think she brought back from China with her.
