A friend and I were reminiscing about the lard rice that we used to eat when we were younger (me in a Hong Kong household, he in a Taiwanese household). It's basically white rice mixed with lard and a little bit of soy sauce, and one of the most delicious things in the world. Does anyone know where we might be able to find a restaurant that serves this in NYC?? I've yelped around and nothing seems to turn up. We are willing to travel to the outer boroughs in our search for a fatty lard carb meal!!
