Being from the southeast part of our country and eating a diet of grits, collards, fried chicken and of course fish andshrimp,i find it amusing to read the posts about inner- chinatown vs. suburban CHINESE restaurants. YOU folks that live in SF are so lucky to have such a wealth of all kinds of restaurants to choise from!!! WE have to travel 25 miles to the closest CHINESE restaurant and what do we get: lo mein or chicken and broccoli! ON our 1st trip there, i hustled straight to CHINATOWN, went into the 1st clean looking place we could find and dont know what i ate ( same as what he has) and it was the best i ever ate. LOOKING to my next trip coming up soon and am reading all the posts. YOU all do a great job. MAYBE someone can explain some of the terms: DIM SUM, CLAY POT, CANTONESE, HUNAN, SCHEZCHWAN, and SHANGHAINESE. we will be grateful to all of you. SEE you in OCTOBER.
