I just bought "8 Immortal Flavors" by Johnny Kan. Many of the recipes call for dried onions. At first I thought he meant Dried onions in a jar that you buy in the spice aisle. But! They tell you to slice them as if they are a regular onion. It will say, "1 Large dried onion, sliced 1/2 inch wide" What is he talking about? I did a google search and came up empty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
