I swear i did search the BC board to look for recs before posting this, but many were older and not sure if they are still to be relied upon. So...
Heading for a long weekend to Vancouver with the family. Staying in Kits - hitting the Museum of Anthropology, Granville Island, and maybe the Aquarium, but really we are here to eat. My 9 year old LOVES dim sum (i prefer menu he prefers carts), Chinese food (dumplings, noodles), seafood, sushi and sweets (donuts, interesting candy, boba tea and ice-cream). I love those things too, but also love good cocktails (have to allow a kid), coffee, greek and middle eastern food, and just any food that is well prepared. We are fine with upscale (the kid is used to fancy eating) but i also love places with 'character' and that are quirky.
So looking for recs. We have been to Long's Noodles, Peaceful, Shaolin Noodles quite a while ago. But it's been a long time since we visited.
Also we are thinking of stopping for a late lunch on the way in Richmond. Seems like the Golden Village might be a good area to hit where we could have food and then walk around for snacks and Pokemon merch (the other thing my son loves). If yes, where should we have lunch. If no, where should we go to eat?
Also any good food or snacks at Granville Island that we should not miss?
Thanks so much for the info. Feel free to direct me to other threads if i missed something.
