Chinese Bakeries

Iggy | Feb 10, 2005 06:55 PM

I’ve patronized several bakeries in Chinatown, but can’t seem to distinguish between them. Anyone have a favorite? Please give name and street. Also, any recommendations in the selection? I love the palm-sized coconut tarts. The wedges of nut “pie” are bland, but I like the texture. Bakeries also sell some of the dim sum treats, such as fried sesame balls. But I’ve found the cookies, alluring coated in glossy colors, so disappointing. Thanks for your tips.
