My wife brought me a present yesterday, A Chinatown Experience 2003 Coupon Booklet, Celebrating Asian American Heritage Month, sponsored by the Chicago Chinatown Chamber of Commerce. The coupon booklet is on the small side, 5.5-inches by 2.5-inches, with a red cover, I point this out as it could be easy to miss. Ellen picked mine up at Borders, they can be found in abundance in the East entrance of Borders, Clark and Diversey, next to the freebie magazines.
The Chinatown Experience coupon book entitles one to 10% discounts at many Chinatown restaurants, Lao Sze Chaun, House of Fortune, Mandarin Kitchen, Moon Palace and Chiu Quon Bakery, to name a few. There are discounts at a Chinatown realty company, gift shop and art gallery. The booklet also includes driving direction and the hours for the Chinatown/Pilsen free trolley from the Field Museum. For Tony and Dickson there are even two coupons for Food Harbor in Addison, though they are not 10% off, simply discounted rotisserie chicken and half-price prepared sushi.
Best of all, what really takes the Chinatown Experience coupon booklet over the top, a 10% off coupon for 'Little' Three Happiness at 209 W Cermak. I plan on stocking up on the coupon booklets simply for 10% off at LTH. My most recent calculations indicate I will save $309 prior to the coupon expiration date of June 1st. The Chinatown coupons are valid between May 1st and June 1st.
I would imagine the Chinatown Experience coupon booklets are available at many locations throughout the city, personally I plan on stocking up for the 10% off at LTH alone.
